new script for displayotron #14

takes all previous improvements and adds more for the additional dependencies required for examples/plugins.

I decided to split the script to something more aptly named, not least because it has the most complexity out of all the scripts and can be considered a 'superset' of sorts, so this will allow me to tweak it without breaking the old dot3k script too badly.

there are some singularities due to repo structure varying between project... I'll take to you about that at some point but in the meantime I fixed it.
