What version of android-vnc-viewer are you using?
0.4.7. (Market)

Which VNC server/version are you using? On which platform?

What is the size of the desktop you are trying to access (i.e. 1024x768,
1920x1080...)?
1280 x 800

What device are you using?
Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate (Verizon)

Are you using a custom ROM? If so, which?
Super Clean DJ05 V.9
Voodoo5 Enabled
Ultimate Revolution Theme

Please provide any additional information below.
I have seen a few other remote desktop apps where you could have the Android
keyboard open and still type text in real time while moving around the screen.
I believe that going through the menu like that and having the screen disappear
while you type is too much of a hassle, and is way too slow. I would rather
have the ability to have the keyboard draw over the screen, allowing me to type
text in real-time.

not a defect - an enhancement - I'd like to see it as a settable option

If you use Hacker's keyboard from the market, there is an option in its
settings for a toggle button in the notification area. When you toggle it on,
it is persistent until you toggle it back off.
