Add ability to register for the conference #117

I'm working on a proof-of-concept for this, as a conference I'm working on desperately needs a new registration system. I'll report back here if I make any progress.

I'm almost at the point where I think you could conceivably run a real conference off this. Happy to have a chat about it, if you like.
