[Feature request] Loader-channel creation from within cfg-loader. #77

It would be absolutely awesome to have the functionality of creating forwarder
loader channels (like those made with crap
[http://gbatemp.net/t151174-crap-easy-to-use-channel-creator]) directly from
the game list in Configurable USB Loader.

This functionality would, when run on a title:
1) Extract opening.bnr from the game on hdd.
2) Bundle it with a forwarder dol to load that particular title.
3) Set the channel id to gameid with first letter changed to U. (Or something
similar.)
4) Pack all to a channel wad.
5) Install said channel to SM using cIOS, or any other appropriate method.

Last point is optional, and you could just put the channels in a predefined
folder for later install with wadmanager or such.

2) should be expanded with: Replace gameid in forwarder dol from template to
gameid of selected title.

If this were to happen, could it be performed like a batch file on a PC?

What I mean is that the forwarder DOL/WAD should open up Configurable USB
Loader, select the target game, and press what ever button is set to Load.
That way, all the options could be kept, even Ocarina v2! It would also give
the HDD time to start up, so certain users (like me) wouldn't have to load the
channel twice!

This already is the case with the Crap made forwarder channels I'm talking
about. They launch the game in question with the options that are set in
cfg-loader.

WRONG SIR!
It does not launch Ocarina v2, AND it doesn't give the HDD time to start up.

If this was to happen, it would have to be locked behind some kind of
child-safe mode or as a manual config setting or something, simply due to the
risk of people rolling in and installing WADs on your Wii, which of course
always means the risk of bricking.

Sorry about that last comment, it should be redirected to the man who told me
it was not possible.

Making game forwarding channels that use cfg to launch them using crap does the
job fine.
There are no plans to add channel creation in the loader.
