Describe your feature request related problem:

Support OpenTracing. It would be convenient to investigate backup/restore slowdown issues with help from tracing graph.

Something to clarify

  1. Where the tracing output will be stored, and what format to use
  2. Tracing will cause some performance drop... what is the acceptable range
