Hi. I was looking for some interesting open source projects and I'm trying to work out how this app would work.

What are the knobs at the top of the screen used for? Do they mirror what is on the device if you have one?

Oh, and the webshop link doesn't link to the pedal. It links to something else entirely. Have Stagg or Joyo tried to make something like this before?

Edit: Also, what does OWL stand for? :)

Hi Neil,

OWL stands for OpenWareLaboratory

yes the knobs mirror what's on the device. You can also enable 'Remote Control' mode and use the knobs to control parameters on the device.

What webshop link were you using? The product page is here: http://www.rebeltech.org/products/owl-pedal/ The 'order' button on hoxtonowl.com takes you to the Rebel Technology webshop: http://www.rebeltech.org/shop/

I've not heard of Stagg, Joyo or any other 'traditional' manufacturers making open source hardware. It's not really compatible with their business model. But then they probably make loads of money, and we don't!
