Add support for composite column types #7

I wanted to check to see if there was any plan to implement support composite column types. I was thinking about taking that on, but I realized it's probably going to involve significant rework of your existing codebase and didn't want to begin before first speaking with you.

I hadn't started doing anything on composite column types, it'd be a great feature though. I'm not precious about much of the code (it works for what I needed it to do) so feel free to take any direction you like :) In fact, I'll probably have a day or so of time to hack on some stuff over the next few weeks (holidays in the UK) so let me know if I can help.
