1) In the manual instructions: ~/.steam/steam/SteamApps On my Ubuntu, it's all lowercase: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps

2) Also, fwiw, appid list is also here: http://api.steampowered.com/ISteamApps/GetAppList/v2
