initial setup fails with "conda: command not found" #102

on macOS Sonoma, the "conda" install step succeeds, but subsequent steps don't run, and the conda installation seems broken

I was able to get around it by installing miniconda with homebrew and adding the homebrew bin to PATH in bash config
