Windows Visual Studio Toolkit Stable Video Diffusion Error #58

Open lunar-studio opened 11 months ago

Tried to install SVD on Win 11 today but I get through everything up to 6/6, a VS window pops up with check marks, it says it’s successful but then back to the Pinokio screen it says everything except VS is not installed.

On the main screen with other launchers listed, it’s still not displayed.

VS including the toolkit was installed separately and earlier in the day for a different application so perhaps this has something to do with this error.

Ps I’ve had nothing but issues with Discord and their verification emails so I couldn’t post to there.

logs.zip I am experiencing the same problems on Windows 11. I've tried installing different applications and always after a successful process, I'm prompted to start over and so on endlessly. I have attached the logs for you.

@PavelMSW I thought I was going crazy as no one else posted an issue but I suppose it’s brand new. Thanks for attaching the logs. I have them as well and will post mine later. Before giving up last night, I managed to get a little bit further in the installer command window by launching VS and enabling VS Toolkit followed by a reboot, but it still would get stuck in that loop.

For now, I’ll probably just run it via ComfyUI or perhaps even manually install it.

I deleted all the folders "Pinokio" and did the installation again but unfortunately it didn't help. On the screenshots Stage2 Stage1 can see the two stages that endlessly change each other if I press "install". I did not uninstall Vusual studio because I have several different versions installed in my system for different years and other programs use them successfully for their work.

The thing is that Pinokio offers a very wide updatable list of interesting programs and I would like the developers to fix this bug for Windows 11 users.

Updating information: Uninstalling all versions of Visual studio from Windows did not help, the bug persists.

Phew! I thought I was going crazy... I feel less alone now! I've tried everything too and can't get it installed. Same error... I hope the developer sees our messages...

They were able to help me here

"You have a pre-installed anaconda version on C:\ProgramData\anaconda3 Please either uninstall it or remove it from path. If you can't do both of that, grant write permission for this folder. The components can't be installed. Windows refuses to write in this folder. Log in as admin and change the preferences for this folder to read/write permission."

"I assume your old Home directory \pinokio containing \api and \bin folders, still exists. Delete it and try again. If it doesn't help, start the visual studios installer and uninstall the old vs_buildtools Close the installer again and try to install your App with Pinokio again."

did you reinstall VST directly or did you let it reinstall it through the pinokio installer?

Removed all versions from the system, and then started pinokio
