10 months ago A note somewhere on that page is needed, that says it all other indexes are created during the segment generation by default, and that's the preferred thing to do even for inverted. As building indexes during load time increases the startup time, plus takes up resources with every new segment pushed, and increases time of operations like rebalance
This is related to PINOT-976 and adds further clarification for users about how to apply the setting and how it works.
