Support update checks for existing plug-ins

As a user this utility would be even more useful if it allowed me to upgrade existing plug-ins.

To consider:

• Installed plug-ins are compared against available plug-ins and upgrade is proposed / can be executed

Nice to have (and likely non-trivial): Compatibility with existing plug-ins is checked; upgrade only happens if new version is still compatible.
