I've been using xvdr plugin for a long time and really happy about it.
Recently I've tried to find any solution to stream from my personal vdr installation to outside LAN. But in that case I have to setup VPN connection or open streaming port for everyone.
Do you have any plans to implement login+password authentication for XVDR? It would be great to have such feature!
