Can´t initialize audio device when switching channels (only with latest update) #66

I updated the vdr plugin xvdr 2 days ago, with your last changes. Now I sometimes get "Cannot initialize audio device" sometimes, when switching channels. I get the above error on both xbmc clients, where I did not do any changes, so I guess it has to do with the last changes to the vdr plugin. Same thing happens on an xbmc installation of a friend of mine. Looks like the audio in the stream makes troubles when using the latest version. Any idea what the problem could be?

I've got the same problem. ... I have no pulseaudio server. Output fro xbmc is directly to ALSA ... Look to the processe and you will see 2 binaries - xbmc.bin. If you start xbmc over xbmc ( /usr/bin/xbmc ) it is only bash with "watchdog" which starting xbmc.bin. XBMC crash while playing channel and "watchdog" start another process but old process is still living ..

Temporary result > start only xbmc.bin ..

I could work around this issue by turning of A/V synchronisation

The problem had nothing to do with the changes on the plugin. I changed my alsa config and everything is working fine now, see:
