Btw, in last versions of Kodi there is an issue with channels/epg loading - it takes too much time. On the forum someone mentioned that there is no such issue with Tvheadend if the Asychronous Transfer setting is enabled - http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=216340&pid=1936632#pid1936632 . I don't know what is this setting for but assume that tvh transfers all this data in a background thread and does not block the ui thread.

I've been thinking about such a behaviour lately. Maybe I'll find some time to continue my work on libxvdr,...
