Related to #9, at the moment we have one bar with "open"/"record"/"play"/"extract a feature" buttons, and the extract-feature button then pops up a sidebar. The sidebar isn't great, and possibly some of the most-useful extractors could also be promoted to single buttons in the main bar. Or we have a tabbable card (with an "acquire" kind of tab having open + record, an "analyse" kind of tab, ...)

This has some overlap with #9 "Displaying available feature extractors" and #3 "need a set of chosen, pre-configured extractors"
