Find a good solution for events. Best solution, IMO, would be to have all the events in WP but also pull them from Facebook when ever we can.

Global Pirate events on front-page
Member associations (Aðildarfélög) can have events
Pull events from all the Pirate Party Facebook pages and save them as a custom post type in WP.
Make it possible to add events directly in WP using custom posts types and fields.

In general, WordPress allows us to create both custom posts types (events) and custom fields (event name, date etc) and the ability to connect these together. A good plugin for creating custom fields is Advanced Custom Fields and for creating Custom Post Type UI for creating custom post types.

@jonragnarsson has created the base for importing events from Facebook.

A few things:

Use the WordPress database class and store the events as a custom post type and custom fields for the event specific data.
Add the ability to import events from multiple sources or Facebook pages and/or groups.
