Bitcoin address for donations question #3

Open cpoliticas opened 6 years ago

cpoliticas commented 6 years ago

Hi, I'm working with the Devcoin project and the project sends donations regularly to several open source software (look here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Donation-accepting_organizations_and_projects#Open_source) and they have PirateLinux listed in there. In the last few weeks the community has decided they want to fund more those OS Projects (please look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg22703497#msg22703497), however, some people argue in the bitcointalk forums (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.msg22846637#msg22846637) that some bitcoin addresses posted in some of those websites doesn't belong to those projects. I was looking at PirateLinux and I couldn't find any way to contact for a bitcoin donation. If your project is still active, could you please direct me to a valid bitcoin address managed by the people in charge? It's preferable that the address is managed by someone inside the team and not services like bitpay, for example.

I appreciate for your time reading this email and thank you very much in advance for all your help!

Thanks for the interest. I stopped working for now on the project, and had to turn off the site since the main server was accidentally deleted. I have some backups, but for now working on other things. If I get enough funding, then yes, I would be interested in continuing development. You can see the archived site here: https://web.archive.org/web/20150907133536/https://piratelinux.org/?page_id=271. I think that address still works, but if you want I can make a new one: 1NmrpvzoFnLP4ayff3dNkv5HQYFEGFjcs7.

Thanks
