New tabs do not appear. #216

In Firefox 9.0.1 (Windows 7).

When I open a new tab, it opens, but no tab is added into the tab bar. Hence, it can no longer be selected.

I use mouse gestures, so I can close the tab and firefox functions normally. I can also Ctrl-Shift to the tab. It does not however appear in the tab menu. (I use vertical tabs on the left side).

Have tried to pull the source, and build myself, but having never created a firefox extension I'm not sure how to debug the issue. In fact, the current trunk doesn't seem to work at all (but that might be expected).

Tree Style Tab is probably the single best add-on ever. So thank you. Obviously would love to get it working again, but still, thankyou for years of making my web experience better.

Any other addon like Tab Mix Plus or Tab Utilities? And, any userChrome.css or styles for Stylish addon? Does the problem appear with a new clean profile? I'm using TST with Firefox 9 on Windows Vista but I don't see such problem.

dazbradbury commented 12 years ago

Nope, no other addon like that.

All i have is Adblock plus, Add-on Compatibility reporter, British Dictionary, Mouse Gestures Redox, Omnibar and Tree Style Tab (of course.)

I just tried in a new profile, and it's working fine. I've had the same profile on this machine since around September 2011 (fresh install), so perhaps with all the ff upgrades something has happened to my profile?

What is strange, is that since creating a new profile, and switching back to my old one, the issue has gone...

dazbradbury commented 12 years ago

I guess I will continue using this new profile, as the old one was causing so many issues.

Thanks!
