This looks good, I deployed the branch and took a look around locally and the instructions seem pretty easy to follow for windows and OSX users. The Pitt IT instructions elaborate on how to connect to virtual labs via web if showing that off or at least just linking to it is of interest: https://services.pitt.edu/TDClient/33/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=230
No web based access because there can be issues with losing keyboard inputs and the like. We will steer our users to the native clients for AVD. We will also steer our users to use the native clients for FastX once the new viz nodes come online.
Give me about 10 minutes, I'm going to add the jupyter.crc.pitt.edu to the webportal part of the document. Firewall change permitted access via AVD.
I'm done. Can you merge?
This approach uses Pitt's Azure Virtual Desktop as a jump box to gain access to CRC. Particularly, this manual only touches on the Virtual Computing Lab instance.
