We have created an issue in Pivotal Tracker to manage this. Unfortunately, the Pivotal Tracker project is private so you may be unable to view the contents of the story.

The labels on this github issue will be updated when the story is started.

^ i added two details to the metrics registrar:

it needs to be registered as a structured log, not a metrics endpoint (ie, on the cli use the register-log-format command, not the register-metrics-endpoint one)
when running register-log-format, the format should be json and not DogStatsD.
