Describe simple example involving entities, stocks, and movements #1

For readers who are not familiar with agent-based modelling, Systems Dynamics, and Discrete Event Simulators, it would be helpful to provide a concrete knative example of how the simulation loop treats entities, stocks, and movements.

Put it another way: I used to understand the first simulator we worked on together, but now the extra terminology has lost me.
