Single-user mode #6

If someone hosts a personal instance of Pixelfed for a single user, the default splash page should be the gallery view of their profile.

I think a lower spec single user (or few user) mode would be great if it would also include some fallbacks for the current dependencies.

IMHO given that Pixelfed is written in PHP, it would be great if it could be run on a shared host that can also run WordPress. Looking at the current dependencies the fist step would be probably to make Redis optional.

In general AP federated sites can run well on simple shared hosts. Both Friendica and Hubzilla run great.

I saw that this was closed as completed -- has this been implemented in pixelfed?

@dansup could we have more details about why you mark it as completed? I might the information on how it’s handled.
