If it helps, the ipad mini 1g is on 8.4.1 and I'm trying to send the jailbreak etasonjb on it. Thanks for you help

I just tested it on an iPad Mini 1G on iOS 8.4.1 by attempting to install EtasonJB. I got the error message once but it worked on the second try, so I wasn't able to debug it... Did try sideloading it multiple times?

I tried again several times but got the same error. I factory reset the ipad but no difference. iTunes connects to the ipad with no problems. Maybe it's a problem with the OS High Sierra?

im using mac os x catalina, with a ipad mini 1g running 8.4.1 trying to sideload etasonjb multiple times im still facing this error so i dont think its exclusive to sierra.

I'm running into the same problem. I'm trying to load etsonJB on my iPod touch 5 on iOS 8.4.1 with my MacBook on Macos 10.15.2. So it not the problem with macOS.

I got the jailbreak installed for my ipad mini using 3u tools. Not sure how they did it but it works great. Just thought I should mention it for ppl trying to jailbreak

I second this as well... Altdeploy seems to work and then once it installs it gives me message saying 'unable to connect to device' but I know it is connected...

Same errror here. MacOS 10.13.6, trying to install EtasonJB on an iPhone 4s on iOS 8.4.1
