Suggestion: Add Plex as Video Source #45

Would it be possible to have Plex App (Plex.tv) added as one of the video sources? I keep my media collection here and it would do wonders to be able to watch the content in this manner.

Generally any media that is stored locally, on your own computer, will need to be streamed. The best solution I can offer is to use a supported service such as YouTube Live/Twitch.TV/Justin.TV/Livestream or setup your own RTMP server. I'm not willing to go into full detail for the latter.

I seem to have misunderstood how Plex works. I would need additional details on how shared streaming works on Plex.TV. How are users able to watch videos together through the service? Does the service require a subscription?

The only requirement to be able to watch a video using Plex is that the viewers have an account with access to the Plex server. This is something that would be handled outside of Cinema, just like registration for a youtube / twitch account.

If you would like to see how it functions I have no problems adding you to my Plex server so you can see it first hand. The only thing required is the Plex username you sign up with if you choose to do so. (plex.tv)
