There's two problems with adding support for Crunchyroll. First off, there's no API to work with to fetch the videos and embed them, which makes adding support extremely difficult if not impossible. The second problem, and probably the more hindering, is the fact that Anime on Crunchyroll cannot be viewed by players living outside the United States or Canada. Personally I would love to add support for it, as I personally run an Anime-Themed Cinema server, however those two issues would make any developer hesitant to spend the time necessary to add it if it's even possible.
There is, actually, an API for embedding. Unfortunately, it requires affiliation. Affiliation is a service that actually earns the affiliate revenue, but I'm not entirely sure about how that would work with Cinema. It's still a nice potential option, at least.
The limitations on countries isn't a problem I can suggest a solution for, though. I've noticed several shows have been expanded to be able to stream in new countries, but that's hardly a consolation for anyone stuck outside the still-limited number of places, and I'm going to go ahead and presume, given your response, that there's no way to force a proxy with Cinema.
Ah, well, it was worth trying. If I bothered actually picking up coding instead of failing miserably at it, I might actually be able to rig something up, but alas, I am an idiot.
Coding is a very acquired skill. I can say that because I only started coding a year ago and I've gotten a lot better at it as time has gone on.
As for Proxying, theoretically it could work, but I personally have never had success with trying to Proxy Flash objects or the similar, so I don't quite know for sure.
As for Affiliation, if Proxying doesn't work that makes it effectively pointless.
Crunchyroll is a website dedicated to East Asian content. Part of its operation is streaming various East Asian media, including a growing number of officially-subtitled anime. It requires no subscription and seems to work very similar to many other video-streaming sites, so I was hoping you could see about adding it in as a video source.
If you can't, or for some reason object to adding it to the line-up, please explain why and if I can do anything to change it (unlikely) I'll try.
