pokemon stadium 2 - main menu grid bug #232

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start the game and go to main menu
2. review the bellys of the 3 pokemons. the images inside.
3. (just watch carefully)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
for example on the middle pokemon belly (the "gate" to stadium 2) instead of
change from day (round 1) to night (round 2) a grid appears and the color of
the grid changes when changing from round 1 to 2. without changing the colour
of the thumbnail of the stadium selection.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
myglide64 r217 on windows 7 ultimate x64

Please provide any additional information below.
on all the glide64 versions this happens. leaving screenshot.
i just saw on the screenshot the kimono girl (its called like that on earl
school on the battle mode) his head is missing and replaced by a xatu. i was on
the options before and a xatu appears to you after 30 seconds (i think may be
more or less time to wait)
apparently was some sort of cache corruption???

the cubes you see in the pokemon belly with the thumbnail of the stadium area
its the bug. with a random video plug in i will show you how it should look.
(the grid i am talking about is the layer that gives you day or night time. in
round 1 you see a blue sky on the thumbnail and in round 2 you see an orange
sky looking like sundown time)

You can remove the grid.
There is a moving layer of varying color.

uncheck "Hardware frame buffer emulation" will get rid of the squarish grid
you can try other options e.g. "Anisotropic filtering" or "Use frame buffer
objects" etc
it is still not perfect but I have not seen one that is better than Glide64
plugin
