When Claw gets close to the end of ground / platform, he slowly slides down, which is caused by his capsule shape. He should instead stay in one place and go into the state where he flaps his hands to keep himself from falling - he should not move.
This thing is pretty hard for me to implement and it would require me to delve into the Claw's physics code again, which is extremely ugly now as it is.
