Which app?

Field Maps

Describe the Device, Operating System, and Browser

Samsung Galaxy A53, Android 14, One UI version 6.0; Field Maps ver 23.3.3 Build 1454.

Describe the bug

After edit of Triage via Field Maps later to complete, Field Maps offline still shows Needs Follow-Up after sync. Structure Damage Waypoints of Major and Destroyed were entered via Field Maps and Triage set to Needs Follow Up - High Importance or Critical. I noticed this 12/30/2023 edited two to complete and synced FM offline yet the change was not shown. Was able to reproduce it on 1/9/2024 edited another pair of structure damage Triage to complete via FM a bit north of the first two and they also did it. Edit change is shown in Intel Manager, Tactical, QC, etc. Dec 30 2023 screenshots: Pt 1 Triage edit to complete online shows fine: Screenshot_20231230_074809_Field Maps Sync offline after edit to complete & still shows Needs follow up after sync. Screenshot_20231230_074839_Field Maps Screenshot_20231230_074926_Field Maps Pt 2 editing to complete okay online. Note Triage status) Screenshot_20231230_080332_Field Maps Screenshot_20231230_080352_Field Maps

Don't think I should flood here with 1/9/2024 screenshots, but I have them if needed as well as Android & FM version info.

Expected Behavior

Expecting Waypoint status edit to show the change in FM offline area after sync.

Reproduction Steps & Sample

  1. Create off line Field Maps area and sync to SARCOP.
  2. Via Field Maps online enter Structure Damage Waypoint as damaged or destroyed and set Triage status to Need Follow Up, Follow-Up Priority - Critical to Life Safety or High Importance.
  3. Close FM online.
  4. Sync FM offline area then open it and it shows the waypoint and triage.
  5. Edit triage status via FM online from Needs Follow Up - Critical or High Importance to Complete.
  6. Open a12930 Sandbox v9 Field Maps - Offline areas and sync the offline area.
  7. Open the offline area after sync and inspect the triage that was edited and it still shows as Needs Follow up.

Other Relevant Info

Unknown if this might effect it. Offline area is in California from left lower corner south apx San Rafael to north of Shasta Lake, from west apx Ukiah to east of Yuba Gap at 236 MB.

Priority impact

p0 - not time sensitive

Impact

Deceiving as an offline waypoint will still appear as needing follow up after it was actually completed. I was in a no signal reception building and testing and looked like the waypoints needed follow up still.

@KeithJGw - can you confirm that in your Offline Area, the status of the waypoint itself? Does it say Completed? How about the Triage Layer? What do the attributes say and does it match the symbology?

@jdokemaps based on @KeithJGw answer we may just want to take the triage layer out of the Offline web maps to reduce confusion and report to Esri Support.

Not sure I understand this right; "the status of the waypoint itself?." This; "Does it say Completed? How about the Triage Layer?" the triage attributes shows as needs follow up after edit both the older edits and this morning edits. Structure damage status hasn't changed, but I noticed the two structure waypoints I edited triage for this morning have todays date while the 2 triage I edited this morn have an older date and they still say needs follow up. I synced the area before opening it. Screenshot_20240109_110902_Field Maps Then I checked triage attribute for the one just south of 1165 Montgomery Dr and the one just a bit east of it that I had edited a month ago to complete. Screenshot_20240109_111020_Field Maps Screenshot_20240109_111132_Field Maps Then I checked triage attributes for two near McDonald Ave & Pacific Ave that I edited trige to complete this morning. @KeithJGw ok I think that helps - so the "data" is synching on the waypoint layer, but perhaps the triage layer is out of sync from a data and/or symbology standpoint.

We expect that the triage layer symbology would update when the data syncs, but that could be where the glitch is
