SAR Intel Manager - Deep link issue #60

From Steve Fierro SCERF: This might just be something that I am overlooking, but the workflow doesn’t seem efficient when I need to take a Waypoint and assign it to a team. We send teams out to their assignment areas. In the ICP we monitor the progress through the Tactical Dashboard. We start to see points appearing and they start out as “No Follow-up”. Everything is good. As the day progresses, we start to see Reds appear needing follow-up. We get a call from a team that says they have XX victims that need rescue, they put a “V” waypoint on the map. Here’s the challenge. I can click on the item in the red column of the Tactical Dashboard. It zooms the map in and gives me a pop up. Ok, now what? I have to go into the SAR Intel Manager to assign the waypoint. So I pull up the SAR Intel Manager, now I have pan and zoom around the map to find the right icon. If there are a bunch in the same area I have to click and scroll down through the information to find the right one to assign. Am I missing something to make this process efficient? When I click on an item in the Tactical Dashboard, a popup occurs on the map. There are icons for actions around that popup, but there is no mouse-over description so I don’t know what those actions do. I did find that the item in the column, has a link called: Web App that does open the SAR Intel Manager, however, it wants me to login again even though I have the SAR Intel Manager already running. I would think there is a better way to handle that. It asks me to login every time I click the WebApp link. As I moved between waypoints in the Tactical Dashboard, I had 5 tabs of Intel Manager up and each one I had to login separately for.

@afackler - can you check on this in the IAFC and NAPSG Sandbox?

IAFC app is working as it should, but the NAPSG sandbox is having some issues. Only the Needs Follow Up web app links are working and they don't zoom to the point like in IAFC. Assigned and Completed web app links don't seem to have URLs attached to them at all. I will work to get those working

Adam - It looked like deep links were working via the ArcGIS Dashboard lists, but maybe not the popups?

I have been working with esri support to find some sort of solution to this. It seemed that, on both the NAPSG sandbox and IAFC, that the web map pop-up honors the URL to zoom to the point, but the dashboard does not honor the URL in the pop-up and will zoom to a random point. I tried it on both NAPSG and IAFC and both had the same behavior. This has been logged as a bug by esri.

We have decided to only deep link to the intel manager.
