Sound distorted? #35

After installing WavTap the sound comes out with a nasty distortion if the system level is above 60% ... iTunes / VOX / QuickTime all the same.

I've compared the exact same song on my other macbook (without WavTap installed) and there i don't get any distortion even at the loudest volume - in general it's as if the one with wavtap on it has a 30% gain boost...

PS I'm on a 2011 Macbook pro 15"

Thanks for bringing this up. I haven't heard of this one yet!

What audio device do you use? (Besides WavTap.)

(Kind of doubt it, but this could be related to #23 — WavTap has to do a lot of behind-the-scenes fuck-withery on launch and close.)

Also: what do your volume/sample rate/bit depth settings look like for the different devices being used? (within "Audio MIDI Setup")
