Corsairs are a reasonably common orc caste, and they have great skills with guns. However the lower-level options for orcish corsairs generally suck, and I've found I've never been particularly happy to have them in my camp.
This could easily be changed. The Freelancer trader is mentioned in the orcish manual as selling a bayonetted pistol, but this isn't actually implemented in the game (they only sell a regular pistol). The Seawolf arms (pistol + scimitar) is awesome, but only available to advanced forts.
The easiest change here is to actually give the freelancer a bayonetted pistol, although as mentioned in #5 (gun rebalnace), I don't actually like the idea of bayonetted pistols, and feel they should be removed.
Instead, we could have a low-level "knife + gun" weapon, which is orc specific, and which can be purchased at the freelancer. This is more thematic, but could have the same stats as a bayonetted pistol. (And stick around even if bayonetted pistols are removed).
