Add timeout to getting HW signature #6

getHWSignature() in UDPComms waits forever for a response from the HW. Need to add a timeout which throws an exception.

fix committed onto master branch. Still to be tested in HW.

Tested ok in HW from mat-hw/mat-32 branch from image built on 5-sep-12
