Recently, only the keyboard shortcuts have worked on Diogenes on Ubuntu 24.04. I have had Diogenes installed on a few different operating systems in the past (the most recent Linux Mint and Widnows 11, those have worked great). I installed Diogenes on Ubuntu a few months ago and initially it worked great.
Within the last week or so I noticed that I can't really use my touchpad/mouse to navigate through things. For example, I can't exit out of the program by clicking the 'x' button in the corner or exit out of a Perseus vocab look up by clicking the 'x' icon for that, I have to use keyboard shortcuts to do so. I can still use my touchpad for some things, like clicking on a word to look up or clicking the next arrow in a text. However, when I try to exit out of a window, it's almost as if the window is transparent as it selects the folder on my desktop that is in that same location. I tried moving the folders on my desktop but it still has the same issue. Weirdly, these issues only happen if Diogenes is in the full screen mode; if it is in the smaller screen mode (ie not taking up the whole screen), then everything works fine -- I can use my touchpad to do everything, etc.
As far as trouble shooting goes, I have tried 'sudo apt update' and 'sudo apt upgrade' commands. I have also tried fully uninstalling and removing the Diogenes program and then reinstalling it. But the same issues persist.
