Unable to 'make' (ubuntu) #1314

Spun up new ubuntu 16.04 ec2 and get this error after cloning into darknet. What's happening? ubuntu@ip-172-31-81-82:~/darknet$ make The program 'make' can be found in the following packages:

make
make-guile Try: sudo apt install

try update and upgrade your ubuntu first
