Allow more than one administrator user to be created #1516

Hello,

I was wondering if with the new version of OJS, if this FAQ answer would change?

https://pkp.sfu.ca/wiki/index.php/PKP_Frequently_Asked_Questions#How_do_I_add_another_Site_Administrator.3F, more specifically the part about you may want to consider sharing account information. In this day of age password sharing shouldn't even be a thought anymore, as it removes all accountability for ones actions.

Thank you for considering this.

The best way is to insert a second administrator role, which is also described in the FAQ answer.

I was more asking about the future releases, not how it is currently. Or is that how it is going to be, now allowing ease of transitioning site administrators in and our as they come and go?

@misilot, this hasn't changed yet for the OJS 3.0 release. I'd be happy to consider contributions here but generally we don't receive a lot of feedback on how site administrators are handled (beyond the occasional request for a secondary account) so it's not a high priority for development yet.

+1 from me. Admin should be treated as any other role.

We'd need to work out a few small policy decisions -- are administrators allowed to administrate other administrators? Can they unenroll themselves? (I suspect the answer is "yes", even though they may shoot themselves in the foot/face).

My votes are "yes" and "yes".
