Sorting with "Your Post" options variability #54

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Logged in with my blog/ID
2. Accessed the http://dev.scienceseeker.org/your-posts/ page
3. Used various sort options to examine output

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
*Sorting by ID: I wasn't sure if this would sort by an ID created by SS, or my
URL/post IDs. I think it was SS, but don't know. It wasn't clear to me what was
sorting. Older posts with lower IDs in our system were first; not sure how this
would have ended up with later ID in your system either though:

*Sorting by Title: this made sense. At first I thought this was wrong, but then
realized it was sorting characters before letters:

*Sort by publication time: seemed to work. But again, this is a subset of our
blog. The scan seems to have only gone back to January? Should it have gone
back further?
*Sorting by Added time: I have no idea what this did. Sorted by descending I
would have expected the most recent stuff (from today) to be at the top. But I
got stuff from January. ? http://screencast.com/t/hiqlJEzucoP Oh, wait, I
think it had me on the second page of results. But I hadn't moved there. The
previous/next is possibly something I had chosen before? I suspect it didn't
reset when I did a new sort. Maybe that's pilot error on my part, but I would
have expected it to put me back on page 1 I think.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
FF 8.0, PC

Oops--that was Mary. I am logged in to our Google account for YouTube and it
stuck over here too.

Gabriel, feel free to ask if you are not sure how to handle this one.

Maybe just disallow sorting by ID for users? Seems like it is confusing. I
think what we really need is search functionality here.
