Lots of folks have scripts that will download the new file if the mod date is newer than what they have. If this is updated frequently, it could cause lots of traffic. Not sure if that would be an issue in itself.

bin/generate_stars_csv.pl doesn't appear to be in any of the scripts run under cron. Now that parliaments can rename stars, should this now be regularly updating the publically-available stars.csv file?

Not that you should use my opinion as law, but I consider stars.csv to be an old star chart. It is up to players to probe and discover changes.

Just a thought maybe update the stars.cvs weekly or something like that. It would help to reduce RPC usage from players updating their star.db
