Jumping Altitudes and Squawk Codes #191

when watching some aircraft it is common to see their altitude fluctuate between 1000 and 95,000 ft

it is also common to see a planes squawk jumping between it's actual value and 0

I have a feeling these are related, but we need a stream of timestamped frames i think to decode them and get to the bottom of it
