CPP demo refactor #35

The diffs make it look like everything is new but some of files are similar (they just changed directories e.g. removed the mac directory)

Summary of changes

Remove previous build output directories and files
Remove unused files
Refactor the demo source code
Update the build files to be platform agnostic (compiles dependency at build time)
Restructure the directory layout
Add .gitignore for C++
Add README

It was a lot of changes. Tried to update for modern C++ and make everything platform independent. Sorry the number of changes is so large. @zach-planet-nine feel free to add another reviewer.
