go-ssb-room not routing to index.html

Goal

Get the go-ssb-room server to show the rooms-frontend UI when I go to civic.love

• creating a production build of: https://github.com/planetary-social/rooms-frontend
• copying the files from that build to go-ssb-room/web/assets, which also includes an index.html file
• configure the go router to use that index.html
• see https://github.com/planetary-social/go-ssb-room/pull/3

Problem

I have it all set up and the room is running, but the problem is, it is not displaying the index.html file when i go to civic.love i get a 404. It does however display the index.html file when I go to https://civic.love/assets/, that also shows a 404 within the vue frontend's router (vue-router)

The issue could be:

• the go router changes I made are not correct
• the nginx configuration on civic.love is not correct for handling the changes I have made

Other notes:

• This set up works locally on my own computer
• I was also able to get it working on civic.love without docker by starting up a dev go-ssb-room server manually and using a similar nginx configuration to graphql.planetary.pub found here: https://github.com/planetary-social/ansible-scripts/blob/main/roles/letsencrypt-nginx/tasks/main.yml

Please note: I am not familiar with go, docker or nginx and so finding it hard to get this working
