Siddharth Gadepalli, I go by Sid

What I bring to a hack team (skills, experience, interest, etc):

I am very passionate about the data world. I work as a full time data engineer where I build data applications at scale for analytics, reporting, predictions, ML and more. In my free time I build up things to process/transform/automate pipelines etc that can manipulate data from various sources and tell a story! I have a bot currently that is semi-functional and runs some cool models on different things in the world. I have experience in Scala, Python, SQL, React and more. I am a huge space nerd so I was very excited about Planet's hackathon. I believe that with the power of data and passion for the planet, we can work together to really create a positive impact. I dont have specific ideas just yet for this hackathon but I am more than willing to join teams and contribute in anyway! Very excited about this! Thank you Planet!

What kind of project I'd like to work on:

I dont have specific ideas just yet but what I am really interested in is seeing how we can use satellite image/ocean data over time and see how that shows rise and drop of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, ocean acidification and more. Equipped with accurate information in this area, we can see how we can help make our planet better. If anyone is interested in this, lets talk! Otherwise I am also open to joining teams and contributing my skillsets :)

Hey Sid, might you be interested in my project pitch (#63)? Hoping to use image recognition and develop a training and testing set. I know it's not greenhouse gas related but figured I might as well reach out :)
