A one or two sentence answer to each of the following questions (pretend you’re interviewing for a job in my company)
1.What experience do you have building websites?
Right now I have no experience whatsoever building websites. I am more than willing to learn because I hopefully want to make a career out of this. I know that going into a field such as web design, one has to have a lot of down time and flexibility in their schedule. Even more so, one has to be okay with harsh critiques from clients. I am open to all this and would still be interested in learning. I have always found the work that goes behind these huge platforms such as Twitter. Facebook or Google for that matter, to be super intriguing. Hopefully, I can attain some very useful skills in this class so that I can apply them in the future.
2.What software experience do you currently have?
I am currently most skilled in Photoshop. I have had experience using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Bridge, but am not as skilled in these programs. I spent much time throughout high school and college using Word and Powerpoint. Since I was in yearbook my junior and senior year of high school I would use Photoshop to edit the photos taken and Bridge for final processing/rendering.
3.What are some of your strongest soft skills (read this)?
I am strongest in Photoshop, but it has been a while since using either InDesign or Bridge. I usually use photoshop for retouching photos and adding different effects to my design work. I hold a certificate in Photoshop so I am very use to working with the tools available. But, I am teaching myself to be more efficient in Indesign, and its always good to keep practicing shortcuts in Photoshop so I can do my work more quickly and efficiently.
4.Where do you see yourself working after you complete your studies?
A website company, or as an Art Director somewhere probably out of FL. Hopefully also finishing my degree at UCF. I have always seen myself working in a creative field, I don't really know where my niche is yet, so I am trying to try a lot of new things. As of right now everything is in the air and I am changing my mind left and right so who knows honestly where I am going to end up, I just hope I end up liking what I do.
