Currently, there is no possibility to use smaller units than a day.

I'd suggest adding

hours/minutes for more precise charts (Especially if we have shorter tasks like 4hours or 1hour30min).
support decimal values (1.5 days or 2.2 days)
allow scaling of the chart by hours/minutes/days
Nice to have is adding weeks(7days)/working weeks(5 days)

It is not exactly your request, but last version 1.2023.13 brings a new diagram:

This is really a pre-alpha feature, but we are open to suggestion here. In this diagram, you cannot use resources as in Gantt diagram.

To represent events in a timetable would be useful to add more time resolution to Gantt or also to add event end or duration to Chronology.
