when clicked on icon in panel: open a media controller like popup there have an ON/OFF switch which one could toggle. when toggling, the systray/panel icon becomes either green if TOR is ON or simply grey out if OFF. Visual feedback for switching to ON and OFF like when connecting to a WIFI network. in the popup, also textual confirming "TOR is running" or "TOR has been stopped"

The popup can be complemented with 'Tor is not installed' and something like 'Error starting Tor' status texts.

We should think about putting both toggles in the taskbar/dock, so they display their status icon like on/off and like network manager icon can display more information when clicked and a taskpopup opens

Here is a picture of how it looks embedded in the panel, the tor toggle dims when it is disabled but the zero net toggle doesn't even shows an icon. spectacle h13138

does the icon change if tor is on or off? like with a RED overlay if OFF or GREEN overlay if ON?
