Multirom problem #9

Am following this tutoring from official page https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Mobile/CyanogenModBase

MultiROM instructions (For dualboot)

(This guide assumes you already have MultiROM and multirom based recovery installed)

First download the stripped down Cyanogenmod version from http://neon.plasma-mobile.org/cm-stripped.zip and install it as new ROM from MultiROM recovery. Once installed, boot into newly installed Cyanogenmod ROM (would be named as package most likely), it will show just the Google logo at start. After that use the flash tool to install plasma-phone. git clone https://github.com/plasma-phone-packaging/pm-flashtool.git cd pm-flashtool ./flash-multirom

Everything is good until a couple of minutes and said ERROR 404 Https not found . If the instructions are outdated, can anybody provide me with the latest instructions.

Probably some of the download links in this script are outdated, I think the multirom version is not tested very much. I will forward your issue to the inofficial telegram group, maybe somebody finds it there faster and can help.

Ok. I really appreciate it.

I got it fixed -- see first commit in this pull request

thefat32 commented 7 years ago

please continue the conversation about the issue here, not in the pull request - you need to wait until my pull request is accepted or clonning the repo and manually apply my commit.

ok. :)

Hi,

The multirom script seems outdated. First, where can I found CM_stripping.zip. It is not present on the neon website.

I have encountered other issues but they may be relative to an incorrect cm rom.

colltoaction commented 6 years ago

Can anyone resolve @lrenard question? I can't find the link either.

jbruechert commented 6 years ago

The old porting base has been replaced by Halium last year already, and this old image is most likely neither working and nor available anymore.

jbruechert commented 6 years ago

Currently the only solution is to use the non-multirom image. You can always flash android back after trying it.
