Maybe since last update of mozilla-kde-support, with the option "ask every time where files are downloaded" in firefox settings, download works once every two (approximatively). When I download a file from any web site, file picker appears and works, but then the file doesn't appears in firefox downloads, and isn't downloaded (as I said it's not systematic, but very very often).

plasma 5.8.6. Neon Distribution 64bits.

Hi Please report bugs against the helper here https://github.com/openSUSE/kmozillahelper/issues

Lets keep this open as reference and only close if solved upstream.

They're asking for feedback:

Can you enable DEBUG in main.cpp and provide the stdout after it fails?

You'd need to build kmozillahelper yourself. As that depends on your distro, I won't be able to help much there.

I have the exact same issue, so you know it's not an isolated problem.

As requested above, I will add a comment or file a bug in the opensuse github project. I will also try to rebuild kmozillahelper and see what happens.

Thanks for your hard work!

Same problem here. It's very hard and very random to make the dialog work properly. It's sad because i use Neon and this plus the integration package the developers are creating (that package doesn't solve the dialog and mimetype problems but adds other nice features) would be perfect.

I've tried tons of things, sometimes it seems like clicking versus hitting return and where in the dialog is active might matter… feels all like guessing since the behavior is sorta random or undetermined as far as I can tell. Been months of frustration.

We have the same issue here : #27
