What Apple Home bridge are you using?
Apple TV 4K Gen 1
It seams uninstalling and reinstalling the plug in fixed it this time. It's the 3rd time this year I've had to do it with only this plugin.
I still have this problem! Uninstalled the plugin, installed it again and still have the issue ongoing. Once I’m off the wifi on my phone, the light switches don’t respond to HomeKit. Wondering - is someone looking at this issue?
One thing that helped me greatly with this plug-in was setting it up as a "child bridge" https://github.com/homebridge/homebridge/wiki/Child-Bridges
This is a homebridge and/or Apple Homekit hub issue. The plugin doesn't have to do with remote access.
Expected Behavior
TPLINK devices should respond in the apple "Home" app like they do in the Kasa app when not on the LAN network. All other Homebrige Plugins show accessories and function when on WAN. When on VPN all TP link Accessories show working.
Current Behavior
All TPlink devices show now responding when checking the Apple Home App and the iPhone is not on the same network such as when on cellular or other WAN network.
Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)
Provision TPlink Device Instal home bridge pair home bridge with apple Homekit test on WAN. Turn off wifi on mobile device (EX: iPhone) Open Apple Home App TPLink devices show offline and not responding to commands. Note other home bridge plugin still working and responding with their accessories (EX: Wemo)
