I can confirm this is fixed in 8.0.2 - I do not see any duplicated switches anymore. Thank you very much!

Also confirming that switches are not duplicate anymore. Trying to see any other unintended side-effects, but after a quick glance, I do not see any. 👍

I've been using this since an hour or two before I submitted the PR and haven't found any side effects. The entire plugin also seems more stable on 8.x, thanks for your hard work!
