Google Play Games leaderboard is not logging In #1796

Hi, I am developing android games in unity.I need to integrate leaderboard so I downloaded plugin from GitHub. Following the instructions , done following things. -Created game on console. -attached leaderboard. -generated xml and pasted into the my project Google play services (unity window). -Setup succeeded -Tester accounts added into the console.

after doing all of this and leaderboard callings. I make build tested on tester accounts. All is working 100% but ... when the same APK uploaded and game goes live. Downloaded it from play store and here leaderboard is not working. Logs says "Login failed"

Following the forums cross verified my signature SHA1 but nothing found wrong. Regards

To confirm if any issue in my project. I created a new project with google play games and their dependent things and followed same instructions. But problem exists ...Development APK works fine but when goes live and downloaded it from Google store. Its not logging in. Same issue.

I'm having the same problem here. After to update this plugin my game stopped to work (log in)...

Hi, I'm having the same issue here as well. If I install the APK directly I can authenticate, but when I download from the Play Store the authentication always fails.

Any update? Actually even though we don't use this plugin, the issue seems to be of main google play services library and @claywilkinson should be definitely able to help on this.

Here is some extra information that we have

  1. While installing from Google Play it fails
  2. Direct install works fine
  3. The below error is thrown in the logcat

    You have wrong OAuth2 related configurations, please check. Detailed error: UNREGISTERED_ON_API_CONSOLE

Edit : Here is an update on how it got fixed.
